Cannot recommend this product highly enough. Have a young cat (super stressed following the sudden passing of his cuddle buddy) indiscriminately urinating outside his litter tray. Have cleaned, vinegared & tried every product available (including heavy duty commercial enzyme cleaners). Nothing has worked. We were at our wits end and at the stage of carpet replacement when we spotted this product on a TV ad. Arrived within 48 hours of ordering and LOVE it! One application & the pong has definitely gone! If you have pets, you have to have this in your cleaning cupboard! Thankyou Wet & Forget for another amazing product!

Not going to lie, I was dubious that something could really do the job of removing pet smells, feel like I’ve tried everything on the market, but most things just mask the smell, not fix it! Sprayed this as soon as I got it on my carpet where my dog is guilty of reoffending.. got home from work the next day and went to the offending corner for a sniff…. Every morning I've been haunted by the stink of a toilet training puppy in the house but last night I sprayed the house with pong be gone and this morning I got up and the ghost of accidents past are gone! I’ve just purchased my 3rd bottle of the pet pong! Initially I was sceptical as I’ve been slaving away cleaning after my cat and dog. From poops to pees on the carpet. Yet the smell still lingered. Until I did decide to use pet pong, smells eradicated over night! The product itself has no scent, however the good bacteria in the spray really does help with the nasty smells. Not only I use it mainly to clean after my pet’s, but, I also use it to spray down my car seats, the sofa, and the my shoes! Smells? What smells? Don’t knock it until you try it. Also, decently priced for a big container providing more quantity than the similar products at the pet stores that are smaller in quantity. Highly recommend!

We bought a second hand lounge suite (site unseen)that really should have gone to the dump. I vacuumed and shampooed the whole suite more than once but the smell lingered.... until I used pet pong gone. Overnight the stink was gone! Shame you need to buy such a large bottle.

Do not hesitate to try Pet Pong Gone, this is a totally amazing product. I treated an old dog bed that had been relegated to the garage because washing it was not having much of an effect. I dragged it out and sprayed it and left it outside overnight. The smell was diminished significantly after 12 hours and I thought, oh yeah alright ill give it a bit longer, after 24 hours it was totally gone and smelt fresh again. This product is absolutely amazing, i tried many products to get rid of cat pee smell none worked till i tried this i sprayed the infected areas and then 1hour later the smell had almost completely disappeared.

Honestly this is the best product ever. I have 8 exotic inside cat's and 2 big dogs, so of course accidents happen. I have tried absolutely everything on the market even oversea's cleaners. This product is AMAZING! So glad this was suggested to me and that I tried it. Had a material couch that a fixed-female cat had sprayed on, over a period of about 2 months, while housed inside. Tried vinegar and a variety of other cleaning products and thought the smell had finally gone. Couch was then moved to another area of the lounge for a couple of years. Had no smell, so thought all was good.....then moved the couch back the other week - and with the sun shining on to it, it revealed that the smell had NOT gone. YUCK. After one application of this product, I can now no longer smell that horrid odor! It's absolutely brilliant. Very Happy Customer :-)

Great for everything even stinky shoes! We actually got recommended this by a nurse as an elderly family members room was a bit "pong"y, when sprayed you get a bit of a hit vinegar smell as it reacts then within a few ours to 24 hours nothing! Truly amazing stuff.

After wasting hundreds of dollars on various other products, hiring carpet cleaners and countless hours of time spent trying to remove the stench of cat pee from my carpets and curtains, I was skeptical. Didn't do the job

Was told the product pretty much worked miracles.
I used this on an old cat urine smell that was in my house I just moved into. Didn't lift anything after 3 applications.
Used it on a vomit spot after I had used my bissell & it had dried, I still noticed a smell - didn't work. Used it twice.
They really need to offer a smaller size to test, it's an expensive product to try and not get a result. Highly recommend Odarid, actually lifted both smells.

It's unfortunate that it didn't do the job you expected or were told about at the time of purchase and your feedback is invaluable to us as we constantly look to improve and establish why something may not work in certain circumstances.
Regarding sizing we have recently released a smaller 500ml bottle for those smaller clean up jobs in addition to the popular 2 litre bottle.

Mixed results

Like many others this product is my last resort and I've had mixed results on different surfaces. On some it's worked tremendously well, on others not so much. My biggest issue is carpet and as with a couple of others the multiple application approach hasn't worked as expected. However, I'm not able to lift the carpet to get to the underlay so would like to know if it's okay to simply pour the product on the carpet to basically saturate it rather than just spray it which isn't getting down into the base of the fibres.

Thanks for your comments regarding varying degrees of success on different surfaces & the information below should be of assistance to you and answer your questions.

FOR BEST RESULTS

1. If treating an area where pre-cleaning has recently occurred (to clean up an accident) please rinse this area thoroughly with clean water only.

WHY? To remove any residual chemicals as these will otherwise inhibit the pro-biotics.

2. Allow the washed area to dry fully.

WHY? Any residual water would dilute Pet Pong Gone when applied and reduce its efficacy.

3. When applying, spray liberally so that the Pet Pong Gone liquid is able to penetrate fully into the fabric / upholstery.

WHY? To provide the pro-biotics with a route deep into the fabric so that they can reach all problem areas. They aren’t able to move on their own so they need the liquid they are in to carry them.

4. Repeat applications daily if needed.
WHY? On surfaces like carpets or couches, the bad bacteria can be located quite a long way from the surface due to the porosity of these materials. It can take several applications for the pro-biotic bacteria to get to the cause of the problem so re-spraying the area thoroughly at daily intervals is advised.

DO NOT BUY - WASTE OF MONEY

I purchased this product after reading the reviews and calling the store to ask specific questions, as the instructions didn't say whether to put on wet or dry and if other products used before would interfere. I was advised it did not matter, the bacteria would eat all pee and to make sure I wet the area very well. I am very disappointed, after 5 applications over a week, the smell remains strong. We did lift the carpet, sprayed the underlay ( even it did not reach it ). It simply does not work. I would like a refund.

The major benefit of Pet Pong Gone is that is has live probiotic bacteria that seek out the bad odour causing bacteria and deals to them, thereby eliminating the odour.

I know you have applied the product as our instructions over the phone & on the bottle advised, however there are some variables that may indeed affect the efficiency of Pet Pong Gone.

It seems in some situations, if Pet Pong Gone is applied to a wet washed area or where there may have been any detergents or chemicals used, this can hinder the ability of the probiotic to do the job. Additionally as you have found on surfaces like carpets or couches, the bad bacteria can be quite deep seated due to the porosity and it can take several applications to get to the cause of the problem.

If you have indeed used a chemical type cleaner or the carpet is still wet after a “wet clean”, this can actually impact on the efficiency of the live probiotic bacteria in Pet Pong Gone however I would suggest with perseverance you should have success.

I purchased this product after reading the reviews and was very disappointed. The instructions didn't say whether to put on wet or dry so I emailed and they advised dry, and after 4 applications, a week apart the smell was still strong.
